
President and Chief Executive Officer, MRI
As Chairman and CEO of MRI, Gerry directs the management team for the parent company of ShockWatch, DataSpan and DPC. He also serves as chief executive officer of each operating company. Prior to joining MRI, he served as Managing Director of Ogilvy & Mather/Los Angeles; Publisher of Newsweek; Managing Director of the WTA Tour – the women’s worldwide professional tennis tour and, most recently, CEO of Saxon Publishers.
Smith received a B.A. in psychology from Seton Hall University and attended Suffolk Law in Boston, MA, while serving on active duty in the United States Air Force. A Vietnam veteran, Captain Smith was awarded a Bronze Star, USAF Commendation Medal for Valor and the Republic of Vietnam Medal of Honor, First Class.

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, MRI
David manages and directs all financial resources and reporting for MRI, the parent company of ShockWatch, Dataspan and DPC. As Vice President and CFO, he oversees the company’s information technology initiatives, serves on the management committees of the operating divisions and works closely with the Board of Directors to meet the company’s strategic goals. He joined the company in 2007.Previously, David served as the Regional Vice President of MedeFinance, Inc and served as CFO for multiple companies including: RealPage, Inc, A Novo Broadband, AMX, Piper Industries, Inc. and Panja Inc.David earned a B.B.A. from Baylor University and was granted a Certified Public Accountant certificate by the State of Texas in 1978.



Vice President, North America Sales
A 25-year veteran of ShockWatch, Dennis leads our North American sales team and association partners toward achieving and exceeding the revenue and growth targets by driving sales activities. As an active problem solver for his customers, Dennis plays a vital role in the product and application development of the product line. Prior to joining ShockWatch, Dennis was sales engineer for EG& G Sealol, a John Crane company, representing the company in the oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper and mining sectors.

Vice President, International Sales
Marcus Smith manages all aspects of ShockWatch’s export business and directs its strategy for growth. Prior to joining ShockWatch in 2011, Marcus was Director of International Sales for Pelican Products, Inc. Marcus joined Pelican’s Hardigg division in 2003 and during that period he assumed international sales management roles and was directly involved in establishing new sales offices in Europe, Korea and India. During Marcus’ years with Pelican’s Hardigg division, the company realized record export sales each year and was the recipient of the 2008 Massachusetts AIM-IBC Global Trade Award.Prior to his position with Pelican, Marcus worked for Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel Lucent) where he held different roles in Product Management and Sales. Marcus has lived and worked in Europe twice during his career and speaks Spanish and French. Marcus holds a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University and a M.B.A. from Duke University. He resides with his family in Plano, TX.
